**The
following are guidelines for the analyses to
be performed by the Plastics CAE Center, Injection
Molding Consortium:
-
Analysis will be provided based on a first
come, first served basis.
- If
multiple analyses are submitted by a company,
the one of highest priority will be performed
and the additional analyses will be put in
cue following any additional jobs that have
been submitted by other member companies.
- Membership
to the Center consortium will be reviewed
after one year. A second year membership will
be by invitation only. The maximum membership
period to the Injection Molding C.A.E. Consortium
is three years.
- The
primary computer analysis software selected
for use in the consortium activities include
those developed by both A.C. Technology and
Moldflow Pty. Ltd.
- Each
member company is required to attend an orientation
training session. This session is to develop
a line of communication, assist in the interpretation
of analysis results, and review the procedures
required for submitting analysis work.
-
It should be understood that in order to maximize
the analyses that the Center performs, no
formal reports will be submitted with the
analysis results. Results will be provided
by identifying modifications through marking
up the member's part or mold drawings and
through direct communication of the results.
An additional fee will be required for any
formal report or additional special services.
- Special
Analyses: Cooling, packing, shrinkage, warpage,
fiber orientation, and gas assist injection
molding analyses are done on a limited bases.
These analyses are more sophisticated and
time consuming and are not part of the standard
services and analyses provided. Each request
for these analyses will be considered on a
case-by-case basis. It should be expected
that these analyses will require an additional
charge or may be substituted for some multiple
of the standard services.
